Catch up on all the exciting activities and adventures from the first week of Keen2Go’s bumper Summer Holiday programme.

Monday

Monday saw us jump straight into the action with a spot of trampolining followed by a game of cricket in celebration of England’s World Cup win. As you can see, we all had a blast! Although a certain someone in the centre of the picture needed a good sit down before bouncing back for the afternoon’s activities.

Burgers, nuggets and chips were the order of the day for lunch before the wicket inspection passed. The emphasis was placed on teamworking and promoting a culture of encouragement and support between members. Needless to say, everyone did so fantastically and the summer got off to a flying to start. Howzat?!

Tuesday

Next up was our first Travel Day of the summer and we were off to a staple of the Keen2Go holiday schedule – Chessington World of Adventures. It was as popular as ever and predictably fully booked weeks in advance.

The rain did its best to dampen our spirits but it didn’t stand a chance. The team braved some cracking rides – including The Vampire and The Gruffalo – and enjoyed a lovely group meal to recharge the batteries for… more cracking rides in the afternoon.

Wednesday

Wednesday saw the Keen2Go Cup kick off in style with a fantastic display of footballing skills beaten only by the effort and support on show from the members. The bar has been set extremely high for next week!

Thursday

We all love a day out in Brighton and for our money this was one of the best!

With a stroll on the beach, a round of crazy golf and loads of fun in the arcade, how can it get any better than that? Oh yeah… fish and chips for lunch. The sun even made an appearance to watch us on our way.

Friday

On to the last day of an amazing week and it was time for the first summer outing for the Keen2Go Ladybirds. Our all-girls group has gone from strength to strength since their first session and we just had to keep the show on the road into the summer schedule.

This week we made the most of the weather and enjoyed a picnic in Beddington Park; including lots of fun games and a mini boat race down the stream. The winning boat went down river almost as well as the sandwiches went down for lunch.

It was a great week all round and seeing the smiles on our members’ faces made all the hours of planning more than worthwhile. But the fun doesn’t stop there. Rest up, have a wonderful weekend and we’ll be back for more on Monday.
